THE 37th EARLY DANCE FESTIVAL 2020 ONLINE,
FRIDAY 16th to SUNDAY 18th OCTOBER.
‘Dance in the Burgundian Court’, from the EDF Festival in 1995.
We are on between 9.15pm and 9.45pm on Saturday night.
The Society was founded in 1979 to encourage the revival and enjoyment of early dance. Classes are held at St. Mark’s Hall, Barton Road, Cambridge, England.
Teaching covers mainly Early Mediaeval, Renaissance, Tudor and Elizabethan dance as practiced at the courts of Europe in the 14th‐17th centuries. Some attention is also paid to dance styles of the 18th and 19th centuries. Most evenings finish with a dance from the Playford collection.
